Ingredients
Tart
  • 1 tin Rhodes Quality pear halves, drained
  • 3 Golden delicious apples, quartered, cored and peeled
  • 30 ml brown sugar
  • 30 ml water
  • 500 g SASKO vanilla bake mix,
  • 100 g almonds, ground in a food processor
  • 2 Extra large eggs
  • 200 ml Canola Oil
  • 300 ml Full cream milk
Sauce
  • 100 ml Willow Creek Director's reserve olive oil
  • 500 ml Full cream milk
  • 250 ml water
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 5 ml salt
  • 15 ml Vanilla essence
Instructions
Tart
  1. Oven Temperature: 160 degrees Celsius
  2. Place the apples, sugar and water in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Cook for 5 minutes and cool down.
  3. Mix the vanilla bake mix, ground almonds, eggs, oil and milk together and pour into a prepared oven dish.
  4. Place the pear halves and apples into the dough and place in the oven for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown and cooked.
  5. Spoon over the sauce and serve.
Sauce
  1. Place all the ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
  2. Pour over the tart when it comes out of the oven.
