12 Jul Beef Stroganoff
Ingredients
- Some canola oil
- 1.5 kg beef fillet, cut into strips – you can use stirfry beef pieces as well
- Willow Creek Truffle Flavoured Olive Oil
- 100 g Butter
- 3 large onions, peeled and chopped
- 6 garlic cloves, peeled and chopped
- 15 ml Hinds Paprika
- 30 ml SASKO cake flour
- 500 g button mushrooms, sliced
- 500 g Brown mushrooms, sliced
- 1 liter cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat the canola oil in a large frying pan and flash fry the fillet pieces in batches until well browned. Keep aside.
- Heat some truffle flavoured oil and butter in a large pot and saute the onions and garlic until lightly browned.
- Add the paprika and saute for 2-3 minutes.
- Add the mushrooms and cook until they start to release water.
- Mix in the flour and add the cream.
- Cook until the sauce starts to thicken and season to taste.
- Stir in the fried meat and serve the stroganoff with some tagliatelle or noodles.
