Inspired by the spirit of the Cape Winelands

At the heart of every event is a celebration of flavour, craftsmanship and storytelling. Our culinary experiences honour seasonal produce, exceptional wines, and the art of gathering around the table to commune with the people we love.

One of my guilty pleasures is to get up at 5am on a Sunday morning, light the pizza oven and the fire outside, and slowly start preparing Sunday lunch for friends. I immerse myself totally into the process and give myself free rein to experiment and explore all the inspiration I have picked up along the way. Many of these dishes make it from my fire and oven onto the menus we serve.

Where does it come from? Inspiration can be as grand and expansive as a mind-bending plate at a Michelin-star restaurant, or as innocuous as a ten-second reel on Instagram. No matter the genesis, the compulsion is to try it out, and then it is there, and it wants to be shared. It starts at home and makes its way down to the great and the grand. Once it gets to your event table, everyone down the road has had a share in its journey.
